OFFICE ASSISTANTS

Office Assistant's Tasks:

  • Prepare and attend workshops and events

  • Create and promote programs and services on social media

  • Reply and engage with social media posts

  • Use apps and software to create flyers and promotional materials

  • Write, read, and proof-edit documents, articles, and proposals

  • Develop and update website materials

  • Interact with clients, potential clients, and the public

  • Answer phone calls

  • Email and book appointments

  • Improve and or create new projects and programs

  • And other related office and administrative tasks

Requirements:

  • At least 16 years old

  • At least 6 months of commitment

  • Volunteer at least 2 times per week

  • At least 4 hours per week

  • Must volunteer at our physical location (occasional online is okay)

  • Must represent yourself as a professional individual, in dressing and behavior

  • Attend an informal interview

COMMUNITY AND OUTREACH ASSISTANTS

Outreach and community assistant tasks:

  • Prepare events materials

  • Attend events throughout the year

  • Day and evening options

  • Weekdays and weekends availabilities

YOUTH BLOG MENTORS

Youth Blog Mentor’s tasks:

  • Assist youths in creating a written blog

  • Assist youths in creating a video blog

  • Assist youths in creating a presentation blog

  • Follow up with youths

Benefits:

  • Develop mentorship skills

  • Develop communication and interpersonal skills

  • Develop personal development skills

  • Develop video creator and media skills

Requirements:

  • Must be between 14-24 years old

  • You must first create your own blog, mentored by a staff member

  • You will become a youth blog mentor once your blog is published

PROJECT BASED VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

Big Day of Giving

Big Day of Giving happens in May. 

Giving Tuesday

Giving Tuesday happens during the month of November.

Tasks:

 

  • Create and promote marketing materials for the events

  • Work with volunteers and staff to get donations from sponsors online and offline

 

Benefits:

 

  • Develop creativity and marketing skills

  • Develop communication and interpersonal skills

  • Increase knowledge of community agencies and resources

 

Requirements:

 

  • Must be at least 16 years old

  • A commitment of one month to plan and run the campaign until the end of the actual event day

  • Attend weekly meetings for one month
