Wake-Up Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization, developed in 2013, providing personal development programs and services to help individuals reach their full potential.

What is personal development?

Dr. Mykim Tran started her career as a speaker in 2010 by motivating and inspiring youths to feel good about themselves. Wake-Up Foundation was founded in 2013 after Mykim moved to South Sacramento to continue her work, where she encountered a lot of low-income youths and families. She also met many community advocates who encouraged her to start a non-profit to provide her services to the community. The moment she learned about the non-profit community, she seized the opportunity immediately.

Mykim received her bachelor's degree in Media Communication in 2008 and a Master's degree in Health Psychology in 2013. She achieved her Ph.D. in 2022, with a focus on Humanistic Psychology from Saybrook University. Her dissertation focus was on helping Asian American young adults develop a growth mindset to achieve their career, relationship, and health goals.

Dr. Tran believes that anything is possible when you are learning, applying, and growing daily.
